Poem #1 - A DEW DROP GLISTENS (Fatah Evans)
A dew drop glistens
On a blade of grass,
Birds sing all about.

Poem #2 - THERE IS A WAY (Rumi)
There is a channel between voice and presence,
A way where information flows.
In disciplined silence, the channel opens;
With wandering talk, it closes.

Poem #3 - THE WINE AND A CUP (Rumi)
The wine of Divine Grace is limitless:
All limits come only from the faults of the cup.
Moonlight floods the whole sky from horizon to horizon;
How much it can fill your room depends on its windows.
Grant a great dignity, my friend, to the cup of your life;
Love has designed it to hold His eternal wine.

Poem #4 - THERE IS A FIELD (Rumi)
Out beyond ideas of wrongdoing and rightdoing,
there is a field. I’ll meet you there.
When the soul lies down in that grass,
the world is too full to talk about.
Ideas, language, even the phrase ‘each other’
doesn’t make any sense.

Poem #5 - QUIETNESS (Rumi)
Inside this new love, die.
Your way begins on the other side.
Become the sky.
Take an axe to the prison wall.
Escape.
Walk out like someone suddenly born into color.
Do it now.
You're covered with thick cloud.
Slide out the side. Die,
and be quiet.
Quietness is the surest sign
that you've died.
Your old life was a frantic running
from silence

comes out now.
