Overview

Seven Pillars House of Wisdom arises from a resolute desire to help create a more harmonious and thriving world. It is a place of hospitality and service, a community of fellow seekers cultivating a living wisdom that touches people’s hearts, minds, and actions. This process takes outward form in the unfolding experiences of life that we describe as “the seven pillars.” They, and the relationships between them, provide the foundational architecture for all our work.

1.The Journey of Life: Reflecting upon the shared contours of the human experience.

2.The Living Universe: Exploring the nature of the universe and the Earth, and our relation to them.

3.Our Sacred Heritage: Contemplating the rich record of the human encounter with transcendence.

4.The Ultimate: Awakening to the wholly unified nature of reality.

5.The Cry: Opening to the suffering of the world in all its forms.

6.What May Be: Responding with mind and heart to the call of the future.

7.The Pledge: Resolving to accomplish meaningful action on behalf of all.
